Big Y Foods, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator to deliver an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality bakery products.

The role involves producing high quality cakes, maintaining the bakery department, and handling ordering, inventory, and strict food safety standards while sharing expert product knowledge with customers. The position supports Big Y’s culture of caring and commitment to quality.

Job description

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.

• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
