Flour Bakery + Cafe is hiring for a Cake Decorator / Finisher at the Boston Breadquarters, Seaport location. This full-time production baker role focuses on cake decorating and finishing, with opportunities for cross-training across stations.

Shift is typically 12pm–10pm, 4 shifts per week with weekend flexibility. Starting pay is $19, with a range $19–$31, plus health/dental/vision, 401k match, vacation/sick time, and staff meals.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional baking experience required.
• Open availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to commit to 1 year.
• Physically active role: on your feet all day.
• Able to stand 6–10 hour shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
• Enthusiastic about pastry and team environment.
• Strong work ethic and organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate across multiple bakery stations to gain a well-rounded pastry operation view.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with buttercream and ganache.
• Read allergen details from order slips and check off orders.
• Consolidate products and manage FIFO during production.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and organization.
• Cross-train on various projects as capacity allows.
• Communicate with managers and team to improve bakery operations.
