Job summary

ShopRite of Hauppauge is looking for a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Manager with baking, icing, packaging, filling, and decorating designated pastry items. You will keep the department neat, clean, and visually appealing while following safety policies and QA standards.

The role requires strong English skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods in varying temperatures. Pay ranges from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour with room for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to assist the Bakery Manager.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs; work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Follow recipes to produce bakery items and decorate according to standards.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper signage for the department.
• Assist in daily bakery operations and support the Bakery Manager as needed.
