Job summary

ShopRite of Lake Ronkonkoma is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Department with baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and decorating of pastries and breads. You will help maintain a clean, appealing display and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations.

The ideal candidate is able to read and follow recipes, work safely in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 lbs, and provide friendly service to customers while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Must assist the Bakery Manager.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to handle fresh, dried and processed products and spices.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Able to work all assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Follow recipes to produce items as specified.
• Adhere to weights and measures and QA standards.
• Assist in daily bakery operations as required.
• Maintain QA and safety compliance; follow company policies.
