Job summary

Off The Hook in Gonzales, LA is seeking a Prep Cook to help maintain our premium Real Cajun Real Fast dishes. You will set up and stock stations, prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, and cook menu items in coordination with kitchen staff to ensure quality and timely service.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• 1 year of restaurant experience preferred
• Must complete company training programs
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow GM's instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary practices
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
