Job summary

Off The Hook in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher to support a fast-paced Cajun kitchen and help ensure every dish meets our premium Real Cajun Real Fast standards.

You will keep the kitchen clean and organized, assist with food preparation and cooking, and work with the team to deliver a memorable dining experience in a welcoming atmosphere.

Evening and weekend shifts are common, and all applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Must complete all required Off The Hook company training programs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes at a high-quality level that meet our restaurant's standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining a high level of energy.
• Take pride in crafting exceptional dishes and delivering a memorable dining experience.
• Handle a variety of kitchen tasks, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Follow all food safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling and storage of food, to prevent contamination and ensure the health of guests.
• Use kitchen equipment and appliances safely and effectively, performing basic maintenance and reporting any malfunctions to management.
• Work closely with other kitchen team and communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
