Job summary

JACK Entertainment in Ohio is seeking a Front Window Cage Cashier who can work independently in multiple cage locations and progress to Cage Cashier II as you gain cross-functional experience. You will handle all cashiering duties, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with gaming regulations.

Responsibilities include counting money and chips, processing transactions, and coordinating with team to deliver excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and follow gaming regulations.
• Must have high school diploma or GED and be at least 21.
• Cash handling experience preferred in a U.S. currency environment.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly service to guests while following regulations.
• Conduct transactions confidentially and handle money, checks, coins, and gaming chips.
• Count money, reconcile banks, and order currency for supplies.
• Process credit card cash advances and distribute coins/chips.
• Maintain confidentiality of player accounts and secure records.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to ensure player satisfaction.
• Communicate information clearly to co-workers and management.
• Work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Assessment Information:

All cashiers must be able to work successfully and independently in all Front Window Cage Locations. Additional cashiering job functions include; Marker Bank, Fill Bank, Main Bank and NRT. Promotion to Cage Cashier II will occur when the cashier can successfully and independently work in two additional job functions outlined above.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all guests while following company and gaming regulations.
• Conducts all transactions in a confidential manner.
• Performs all types of money-handling functions including check cashing and converting coin, tokens, and gaming chips into currency.
• Counts money and chips and reconciles banks.
• Orders currency to refill supplies.
• Accepts, delivers, and issues credit card cash to customers.
• Dispenses coins/chips to other cashiers.
• Processes funds transactions for the cashiering department and other casino personnel.
• Performs transactions under surveillance.
• Processes new check cashing applications.
• Records information regarding transactions on reports and forms.
• Maintains internal controls with reports describing errors and discrepancies.
• Collaborates with work-group and all support departments to ensure player satisfaction.
• Communicates all relevant information to co-workers and management to maintain consistency and avoid potential problems.
• Works with team members to achieve common goals.
• Maintains high standards of courtesy, professionalism and discretion in all communications to, about, or with customers including their arrangements and finances.
• Maintains confidentiality of all player accounts.
• Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records, and lists.
• Other cash handling job functions as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
• Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
• Respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must present a well-groomed appearance
• Must demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the use of a calculator
• One year previous United States currency money handling work experience preferred
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be willing to serve customers from a variety of backgrounds
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays and work overtime
• Able to pass mandated regulation and department testing

License Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio
