Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services in the United States is seeking a professional cashier/teller to provide superior guest service and perform diverse window transactions with accuracy and honesty.

You will handle cash, checks, and card payments, maintain bank balance, adhere to internal controls and Virginia Lottery/AML regulations, pass background and drug screenings, and wear a proper uniform. Must be 21+ and able to work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cashier or teller experience preferred.
• Good arithmetic skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process cash transactions, make change, and handle checks with accuracy.
• Greet patrons and provide efficient customer service at windows.
• Enter information into computer systems and access credit data as needed.
• Maintain bank balance and keep work area clean and stocked.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently and adhere to SOPs.
• Adhere to internal controls, gaming regulations and AML/Title 31 requirements.
• Balance bank at end of shift and stand during shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY: The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external guest. The incumbent is also responsible for performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Quickly and accurately makes change, cashes checks, and processes fills.
• Writes receipts for pay outs and other documents.
• Accesses and enters information on a computer.
• Greets patrons and offers efficient, timely customer service during all window transactions.
• Uses current technology to obtain customer credit information, field incoming calls, and coordinate work with fellow employees.
• Maintains bank balance, keeps work area clean and supplies stocked.
• Completes any required paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Customer facing transactions such as: Fronting Money, and Safekeeping transactions Currency exchanges Cashing checks Credit card cash advances Ticket related transactions Balances specific assigned areas with accuracy.
• Adheres to all Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, Virginia Lottery regulations, and AML/Title 31 regulations.
• Cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cashier or teller experience preferred.
• Good arithmetic skills preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal law, State law, and Virginia Lottery.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be well-groomed and in appropriate uniform with appropriate license visible at all times.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF

• Computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point.
• Basic math skills.
• 10-Key calculator.
• Prior cashier or teller experience strongly preferred.

ABILITY TO:

• Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Work in an environment subject to varying crowds and noise levels depending on guest volume.
• Communicate effectively with outside contacts and all levels of team members.
• Review, comprehend, analyze, and assimilate reports and information generated on/by computers and other necessary documentation.
• Obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Balance bank at end of shift.
• Identify and accurately cash different denominations of cash currency, checks, etc.
• Stand for 100% of a shift in a noisy environment.
• Lift based on assigned areas.
• Push/Pull a cash cart weighing approximately 255lbs a minimum of 49 feet.

PAY RANGE

$14 - $19/Hourly
