Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the Cage Supervisor, operates and performs cash and currency transactions for Casino customers at a service window.

Under direct supervision of the Cage Supervisor, operates and performs cash and currency transactions for Casino customers at a service window. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only and not all-inclusive.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers, maintains excellent employee relations.
• Safeguards casino assets.
• Counts and verifies all cash/coin/chip transactions in the cage.
• Makes change for customers and exchanges coin/chip for cash.
• Issues banks, remakes banks, replenishes change for all departments.
• Performs fills for Table Games and pays out jackpots to electronic gaming devices.
• Services ATM and Kiosk machines, including adding or decreasing currency.
• Complies with federal cash reporting requirements.
• Maintains accurate cage cash transmittal forms.
• Reports currency counting equipment problems.
• Performs duties such as redemption, vault/main bank, check cashing, credit card transactions, cage exchanges, and payouts.
• Follows internal controls/policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Casino operation data.
• Contributes to team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus one year experience as a cashier or bank teller; or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
• Must pass pre-employment screening, background check, obtain and maintain gaming license.

• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Familiar with all cage functions.
• Skill in cashier’s cage operations and applicable laws.
• Clear communication skills in English.
• Outstanding guest service skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Typing and 10-key operation skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel.

Physical Demands

Regularly standing, using hands, reaching, talking or hearing; walking frequently; sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally; lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Casino cage area with exposure to smoke, dust, and noise. May require evening, holiday, weekend shifts, extended hours, and irregular shifts.
