Description
Summary: Make change, cash checks, and sort coins for guests. Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins, and promotional items purchased or won in the casino
- Issue necessary operating funds to other departments
- Balance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstation
- Operate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control system
- Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports
- Report any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the cage supervisor or manager in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
- Greet guests warmly, offer information about property promotions, products, services, and events, and thank them for their patronage
- Provide outstanding customer service promptly to both guests and employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience
- Experience working in a team or group environment
- 6 months of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced cashiering environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
- Efficiently write routine reports and correspondence
- Accurately perform basic math operations
- Moderate computer skills and proficiency in data processing and 10-key
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards
- Legal right to work in the United States
