Description

Summary: Make change, cash checks, and sort coins for guests. Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins, and promotional items purchased or won in the casino
• Issue necessary operating funds to other departments
• Balance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstation
• Operate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control system
• Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports
• Report any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the cage supervisor or manager in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
• Greet guests warmly, offer information about property promotions, products, services, and events, and thank them for their patronage
• Provide outstanding customer service promptly to both guests and employees
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling and customer service experience
• Experience working in a team or group environment
• 6 months of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced cashiering environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Efficiently write routine reports and correspondence
• Accurately perform basic math operations
• Moderate computer skills and proficiency in data processing and 10-key
• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards
• Legal right to work in the United States
