Job summary

• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to assess customer needs.
• Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts and weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Possess current health department certifications required to work in a restaurant.
• Experience with high-end guest service and discretion.
• Must have current California Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain it before first day.

Responsibilities

• The Caffè Attendant provides friendly, efficient, and responsive service to all customers during sales transactions at the Caffe.
• Attendant will serve pastries and light lunches, assist with preparation of beverages and menu items, and improve knowledge of specialty coffee and gourmet meal service.
• Responsible for maintaining sanitation and upkeep of all equipment.
• The Caffe Attendant ensures guests are aware of retail products and maintains expertise on products and uses.

• Attendant will serve pastries and light lunches, assist with the preparation of beverage and menu items, and continually seek to improve knowledge of specialty coffee and gourmet meal service.
• Responsible for maintaining sanitation and upkeep of all equipment.
• The Caffe Attendant ensures that guests are aware of the retail products available for purchase and maintains a high level of expertise on products and explains their purpose, ingredients, suggested uses or other related information.

Minimum Qualifications:
