Tucson Unified School District is hiring for a site-based Food Services catering team position at the Administrative Building, 220 W 6th Street in Tucson, AZ. This is a 0.75 FTE role working 6 hours per day on a 9-month calendar.

The position prepares and serves meals for adults, with required food safety logs. Applicants should have at least 6 months of food service experience and strong basic math and reading skills; English communication is essential.

SUMMARY

Prepares and serves refreshments and meals to adults as part of Food Services catering team. May complete required food safety logs and records. Position hours are adjusted throughout the year based on customer participation volume. Work may involve occasional lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 35 pounds as a regular part of the job.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Six (6) months food service experience.
• Demonstrated math and reading skills at the fifth-grade level.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

PREFERRRED REQUIREMENTS

Cashier/point of sale experience

Work Calendar:9 months

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
