Tucson Unified School District is looking for a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in various sites across the district. The role includes ensuring proper payment collection and completing necessary food service logs.
Candidates should have six months of food service experience and demonstrate essential math and communication skills. The position may involve some lifting and other physical tasks. The role will adjust based on customer participation volume. Full-time equivalents vary by site.
Prepares and serves meals and snack bar items from a steam table, grill, snack bar window, or mobile station. Collects and records payment for items received. Completes required logs and records. Position hours are adjusted throughout the year based on customer participation volume. Work may involve occasional lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 35 pounds as a regular part of the job.
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Food Service - Multiple Sites - District Wide
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
