Job summary

Tucson Unified School District in Tucson is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning duties in Wakefield Middle School, 6th Ave & 44th Street area, following county health standards and district Custodial Services guidelines. This is a 1.0 FTE, 8 hours per day, 12-month calendar position.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of custodial experience and the ability to speak, read, and write in English, with comprehension of English instructions.

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Post‑off‑er/pre‑employment physical examination and 50lb. lift test
• Mandatory TUSD New‑Hire Custodial Training

COMMENTS

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Location: Wakefield Middle School - 6th Ave & 44th Steet Area

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day

Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
