Tucson Unified School District is seeking a dedicated food service worker to prepare and serve meals across multiple school sites. Responsibilities include leading cafeteria staff and executing the work plan in the absence of the manager. Applicants must possess food service experience and cashiering skills.
The role includes a variety of tasks, such as handling customer service and maintaining food safety standards. The position may require additional health-related certifications prior to the start date and involves working in a school environment.
Summary: Prepares and serves meals and snack bar items from a steam table, grill, snack bar window or mobile station. Leads the work of food service cafeteria workers. Carries out the work plan for the day when the manager is not there. Position hours are adjusted throughout the year based on customer participation volume.

Work Calendar: 10 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
