Job summary

Saint Peter’s Healthcare System is seeking a Cafeteria Supervisor to manage daily operations, maintain employee records, and ensure budgetary labor control while leading a team of café staff.

The role requires leadership experience in food service, an associates' degree (preferred), and ServSafe certification within six months. You will work to resolve customer inquiries, ensure timely service, and uphold cafeteria standards in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain employee records and schedules for cafeteria, and provide coverage for roles/shifts as needed.
• Lead weekly team huddles and facilitate café staff meetings to communicate updates, reinforce priorities, and support team alignment and performance.
• Develop and implement cafeteria-specific policies and procedures to support consistent operations and compliance.
• Ensure cafeteria is set up in accordance with standards and ready for service by designated time; re-stock shelves as needed.
• Review and respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and handle refunds and escalated customer service concerns.

• Lead weekly team huddles and facilitates café staff meetings to communicate updates, reinforce priorities, and support team alignment and performance.


• Develop and implement cafeteria-specific policies and procedures and ensures effective communication for both new hires and existing staff to support consistent operations and compliance.


• Ensure cafeteria is set up in accordance with departmental standards and ready for service by designated time. Ensures re‑stocking of shelves is completed in a timely manner throughout the day.


• Review and respond to customer inquiries, ensuring prompt resolution and accurate processing of corrections. Directly handles cafeteria refunds, complaints and escalated customer service issues.

Cafeteria - Food-Nutr Svs

The Cafeteria Supervisor will:

Salary Range: 53,672.00 - 85,868.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
