Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a skilled professional to manage operations across cafeteria, coffee shops, and retail food service outlets within the Food & Nutrition Services department. You will supervise shifts, monitor sanitation, and ensure excellent customer service during operating hours.

The role requires ServSafe certification within 30 days and experience in healthcare or retail food service, with a focus on leadership, accuracy, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred; ServSafe certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in healthcare or retail food service is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the department; ensures equipment works and staffing meets needs.
• Coordinates retail tasks; serves as first escalation for operation issues.
• Reports damages or malfunctions and arranges maintenance as needed.
• Delivers quality customer service and ensures full menu availability during hours.
• Trains and mentors staff; conducts huddles and reinforces service standards.
• Maintains records (HACCP logs, temperature logs) and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Ensures infection control, FIFO, and proper sanitation across outlets.
• Monitors cash handling, discounts, and meal card usage; supports audits.
• Manages cash deposits and end-of-day reconciliation under supervision.
