Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a cafeteria cook to prepare and cook meals for a large group in a busy CA cafeteria. You will follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, and ensure timely service for internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in catering events and inventory restocking is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of kitchen and food prep experience.
• Food Handlers Certification and Safe Serve Certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for a large number of people in a cafeteria setting.
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures.
• Monitor food inventory and ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
• Prepare ingredients for menu items by following recipes.
• Prepare meals for the café and company catering events.
• Restock cafeteria and kitchen supplies regularly, including the salad bar and soft drink station.
• Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
