Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a Cafeteria Supervisor to lead daily operations, manage staff schedules, and ensure service readiness. You will develop cafeteria policies, oversee onboarding for new hires, and maintain compliance with departmental standards.

The role includes supervising labor, coordinating team huddles, and handling customer inquiries, refunds, and escalated issues to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Two or more years leadership experience supervising food service personnel desirable.
• ServSafe certification within 6 months of employment in current position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain employee records and schedules for cafeteria, and provide coverage for roles/shifts as needed.
• Lead weekly team huddles and staff meetings to communicate updates and reinforce priorities.
• Develop and implement cafeteria policies and procedures for consistent operations and compliance.
• Ensure cafeteria setup and readiness for service by designated time; manage restocking of shelves throughout the day.
• Review and respond to customer inquiries; handle refunds, complaints and escalated service issues.
