Job summary

Conway Public School District is seeking a Food Service Assistant Manager at Conway High School to support cafeteria operations and health-compliant food service. The role entails assisting the Food Service Manager, following district policies, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

The position requires a high school diploma and completion of the Manager's Training for Child Nutrition, with preferred prior food service experience and strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Arkansas Department of Education Manager's Training for Child Nutrition is required.
• Experience in quality food service operation is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and hardware is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Follow all state and federal regulations.
• Perform duties assigned by the manager, including working in extreme temperatures and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Prepare and serve food per health and sanitation standards and monitor temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and use of chemicals as directed.
• Assist with food service operations during emergencies.
• Assist with serving line operations and accurate food counts.
• Possess increased responsibilities as directed by the manager or in the manager's absence.
• Maintain courteous customer service and good working relationships.
• Maintain high standards of work habits, sanitation, and safety; report accidents.
• Practice healthy work habits and appropriate dress and conduct; maintain records as required.
• Understands, follows, and gives oral and written directions.
• Participates in inservice training programs provided by the District and/or state.
• Other duties as assigned.
