Job summary

Anchorage School District seeks an Elementary School Cafeteria Manager II to ensure meals are prepared on schedule and in line with safety guidelines. You will inspect deliveries, keep sanitary kitchen records and oversee NSLP compliance at the point of sale.

The role includes supervising staff and coordinating with the Student Nutrition office. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year in food service, cashiering and MS Office skills, and completion of the ASD Serving It

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years related work experience may substitute education.
• One year of food service experience in preparation, handling and sanitation.
• Proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
• Must complete ASD Serving It Safe course within 21 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory, ordering, production records, cash handling and paperwork.
• Ensure meals are prepared on schedule for the expected number of students.
• Monitor kitchen temperatures and HACCP compliance.
• Train, supervise and evaluate cafeteria assistants.
• Coordinate timecards and leave requests with supervisor.
• Maintain NSLP compliance and accurate records at point of sale.
