Job summary

The Anchorage School District is seeking a hardworking Elementary School Cafeteria Manager II to oversee daily food service operations with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and timely meal preparation. You will supervise kitchen staff, manage inventories, and ensure records meet federal/state guidelines.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 1 year of food service experience, and basic math proficiency; supervisory experience is preferred. ASD offers a supportive school-food environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of related work may substitute.
• One year of food service experience and knowledge of food safety required.
• Proficiency in basic math and cashiering; familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Must complete ASD Serving It Safe course within 21 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, ordering, production records, and cash handling.
• Ensure meals are prepared on schedule and meet HACCP standards.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate cafeteria staff and aides.
• Maintain NSLP compliance and accurate records at point of sale.
