Job summary

Anchorage School District is seeking a Food Service/ Elementary School Cafeteria Manager II to oversee meal production and kitchen operations at Trailsides Elementary. You will manage inventory, safety compliance, staff supervision, and cashiering duties while ensuring meals are prepared on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, food service experience, and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of food service experience in general food preparation, handling, and sanitation required.
• Proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office required.
• Must be proficient in basic math such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Attend ASD Serving It Safe course and pass exam within 21 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage all food and supply inventories, ordering and production records.
• Ensure meals are prepared on schedule for the expected number of students.
• Monitor and record kitchen temperatures and HACCP compliance.
• Train, supervise and evaluate cafeteria assistants.
• Coordinate timecards and leave requests with supervisor.
• Ensure NSLP compliance and maintain records per USDA requirements.
