Job summary

Willoughby-Eastlake City School District is seeking a kitchen manager to oversee the quality of food and all aspects of the school lunch operation.

Responsibilities include placing orders for food and supplies, scheduling staff, supervising meal preparation and service, keeping records and inventories, ensuring kitchen sanitation, and reporting to the principal to support a cheerful, productive program.

7:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.67 - $21.65 (following the 2025-2026 salary schedule)

Job Description: The manager of a kitchen is responsible for the quality of food and is in charge of all areas of operation in the process of serving the school lunch. The manager places orders for all food and supplies to the food service office, plans the distribution of work for all personnel, supervises the preparation and serving of all meals, keeps records and inventories, checks on the sanitation of the kitchen, and is responsible to the principal of the school. The responsibility for the cheerfulness and productivity of people and attractiveness of the food and service is of utmost importance.
