Responsibilities

• Collects money and tickets from students and adults for school lunch or items.
• Counts and deposits all monies received by the school lunch program.
• Keeps accurate daily records of lunches, breakfasts, and milks served.
• Prepares required daily reports for the cafeteria operations.
• Follows safety instructions when using equipment and with students.
• Cooperates with other food service staff and leads kitchen functions.
• Plans work schedules for kitchen staff and delegates tasks.
• Plans special events and promotions for students.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Cafeteria Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Have a high school education or equivalency, ServSafe Certificate or obtain a ServSafe Certificate within 30 days of hire date, take and pass Math Screening, some experience in quantity cooking and working with children, have some knowledge and experience in clerical work, and have the ability to learn and keep accurate records.
