Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. seeks a kitchen teammate to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. You will perform all kitchen positions, ensuring food safety, proper temperatures, and appealing presentation.

The role supports multi-state operations; pay rates vary by state and position. A HS diploma or GED is typical; training is provided and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next-day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO stock and cold storage.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, equipment, and dishes; monitor chemical usage.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager; batch cook for quality and presentation.
• Serve items with proper portions; ensure quality presentation and hospitality.
