Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. seeks a kitchen teammate to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings and assist with serving lines.

You will participate in occasional catering functions and perform all positions within the kitchen in a fast-paced school food service environment. Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, preparing foods per menu and recipes, operating kitchen equipment with certification, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings and assist with serving lines.
• Participate in occasional catering functions.
• Perform all positions within the kitchen.
• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Assist in preparing foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and kitchen/cafeteria spaces.
• Manage inventory with FIFO; keep cooler/storage racks clean.
• Prepare baked goods as required and present to customers.
• Batch cook to maintain quality and presentation.
• Serve items with correct portions and utensils; ensure quality presentation.
