Job summary

Woburn Public Schools is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Helper at Woburn Memorial High School. The position runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, for a total of 5 hours per day, with immediate starting date.

The role includes food preparation support, cashiering during lunch periods, and maintaining HACCP and hygiene standards. The wage is $20.19 per hour, with sick and personal day accrual per school year. Housing and other benefits are not listed.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience working with food, cashiering, and children, but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must pass screenings for public school employees, including CORI, fingerprinting and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work with cafeteria managers for supplies needed for the daily menu, which includes heating, portioning, cutting, and chopping a variety of food products.
• Responsible for following all HACCP regulations, personal hygiene regulations, uniform regulations, and any state or government regulations required by law.
• Prepares supplies for the next day of service.
• Cashiering or serving during school lunch periods.
• Washing down lunch tables between lunches.
• Assuring proper storage of all food.
• Must clean a variety of kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to: mixers, slicers, counter tops, storage areas, service linens, floors, shelves, etc.
