Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Food Service Technician to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a clean, efficient lunchroom environment. The role includes replenishing food supplies and maintaining kitchen and storeroom cleanliness, with opportunities to learn multiple lunchroom duties.

Typical hours are 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a school setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with one year cafeteria/restaurant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Basic math for money, weight, volume measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Assumes responsibility for making sure that the supply of food is replenished regularly.
• Assists in the daily cleaning of the kitchen and service areas.
• Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the lunchroom manager.
• Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
• Demonstrates willingness to learn various jobs in the lunchroom and attends inservice programs.
• Other duties may be assigned.
