Job summary

ARPS Food Services in Amherst, MA is hiring a General Food Service Worker to join the school cafeteria team. You will assist daily food preparation, sanitation, cleaning, and serving under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager, Cook, and Director of Food Service.

This full-time role is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, reading and writing skills, and prior food service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient reading, writing and math required.
• Previous food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that meet quality standards and USDA meal patterns.
• Set up and replenish serving lines to maintain items during meals.
• Brew coffee, operate beverage stations, and deliver food when needed.
• Assist in completing food production records and report usage.
• Maintain a sanitary cafeteria environment and comply with health regulations.
• Operate POS cash register and handle money accurately.
• Support sustainability initiatives and daily operations.
