Job summary

Sau 39 at Amherst Middle School is seeking a dependable Nutrition Worker to join our school food service team. This part-time role supports breakfast and lunch service in a fast-paced kitchen and helps ensure student nutrition and wellness.

Hours are 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM (5 hours/day). No evenings, weekends, holidays, or summers. Experience is preferred but training is provided; Safe Food Handler Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Position Summary:
The Nutrition Worker supports daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position works closely with the Chef-Manager to ensure efficient meal service and compliance with all food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation and service of breakfast food and beverages
• Support the Chef-Manager with meal prep for lunch service and future production
• Set up and assist with lunch line service, including serving students
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
