Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six months of food handling, service, preparation and/or cashiering experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience performing cash handling and serving in a cafeteria setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing and cooking foods, including baking and other related activities.
• Collects money for lunches, balances cash drawers, and assists with daily cash reports.
• Serves and replenishes food supply.
• Cleans cafeteria and kitchen areas and sanitizes surfaces.
• Prepares cafeteria for meals and monitors utensil and napkin availability.
• Monitors food inventory and counts unused food after service.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature.
