Job summary

Cartwright School District #83 is seeking a Food Services Custodian to support the district's cafeteria and kitchen areas. This 10-month, 6-hour position reports to the Cafeteria Manager and provides custodial services, setup for meal service, and trash removal across district cafeterias.

Qualifications include teamwork, customer service, and the ability to work independently. The role requires passing background checks and adherence to safety regulations as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to act individually and as a team member in resolving problems and completing projects on time and within budget.
• Possession of good customer service skills with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Any combination of education and experience relative to the above qualifications as the Governing Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of custodial duties which includes: Cleaning the cafeterias and kitchens, emptying trash, collecting food trays, sweeping floors, mopping, cleaning windows, sinks, counters, Kitchen Staff bathroom, and mirror, replenishing toilet paper, towels, and soap, washing walls, doors and handles, cleaning cafeteria tables.
• Sets up and takes down equipment for meal service.
• Collects lunch meal service trash from the cafeteria, kitchen office, and Breakfast in the classroom and takes it out for disposal.
• Provides backup and assistance to others involved in the preparation, serving, clean-up, and maintenance of the kitchen and cafeteria area.
• Available to put away deliveries.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
