Job summary

Responsibilities include cooking breakfast through catering events, managing inventories, and ensuring timely service while upholding sanitation and sustainability practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an institutional kitchen or commercial food preparation.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Three years or more experience in a commercial food and beverage setting.
• Experience with breakfast, lunch, grab n go and catering food preparation.
• One year of full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food items for breakfast, lunch, and catering services in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Delivers exceptional customer service during food service operations in the cafe and at catering events.
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health department regulations and organizational policies.
• Takes product and supply inventories and stocks stations.
• Completes daily preparation checklists, temperature logs, and other required back-of-house documentation.
