Job summary

SOLIS ELEMENTARY in Gretna, Louisiana is seeking a Cafeteria Manager Level 2 to oversee the foodservice operation at Jefferson Parish Schools administration buildings.

You will coordinate meal service, develop menus, manage pricing, and supervise staff, ensuring safe and efficient operations with a focus on quality and customer service. Reports to the Director of Food Services and collaborates with administration for meals and catered events, inventory control, and inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional or retail foodservice operations.
• Experience in catering operations with strong creativity and food handling.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with school administration to provide meal service and catered functions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Develops recipes and menus used in the cafeteria and catering functions provided to the schools.
• Provides input into pricing of all cafeteria and catering services.
• Places orders for food and supplies and manages inventory and deliveries.
• Monitors sanitation and safety standards in food preparation and serving.
