Job summary

PERG online is seeking an Employee Cafeteria Attendant to keep our cafeteria clean and well organized and to prepare and present attractive, nutritious meals for staff.

You will follow health regulations, manage daily cleaning tasks, handle serving and restocking, and support a friendly, efficient service environment in a fast-paced workplace. This role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and flexibility with shifts.

Employee Cafeteria Attendant

Summary

Responsible for keeping the cafeteria clean and organized and providing food for our employees that is attractive and nutritious.

Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for upholding quality standard, portion control, production level and presentation of food.
• Cleanliness of the kitchen in adherence to all health regulations in food preparation, storage and service.
• Clean the steam table, refrigerator, beverage station and ice bin daily.
• Sweep and mop floor daily.
• Responsible for daily product freshness.
• Follow salad bar menu exactly, only adding things that might have been left over from banquets.
• Fill salt and pepper shakers, condiments, etc. daily.
• Have lunch and dinner ready on time and close the cafeteria.
• Clean tables and chairs and empty garbage after each shift.
• Replace food before it runs out so the employees do not have to wait for their meal.

Requirements

• Knowledge of kitchen operations. Minimum of 2 years' experience in kitchen or stewarding operation in hotel, restaurant or club.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
