Job summary

Omni Hotels is seeking a Cafeteria Attendant to support the kitchen team in the Interlocken campus. You will work closely with line cooks to ensure meals are prepared to specifications and presented properly.

The role requires standing for long periods and ability to work in a hot cafeteria environment. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid leave, with additional perks like free meals and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service/kitchen environment.
• Must hold unexpired Food Handler certification or obtain upon hire.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and endure heat exposure.
• Strong communication and coordination with chefs and line cooks.

Responsibilities

• Learn daily tasks from the Chef and complete prep list.
• Meet required quantities within timeframes and maintain accuracy.
• Know all cafeteria areas and plate presentations for menu items.
• Coordinate with cooks daily for pars and production needs.
• Keep back and prep areas clean and stocked.
• Maintain accurate prep list and daily checks.
• Check with MOD before leaving for the day.

This team member will ensure all food is served according to specifications, and work in conjunction with all line cooks.

Salary and Benefits

Salary for this position is (based on experience): $20.00/hour. Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Chef to learn daily work tasks and their coordination, and complete daily prep list.
• Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
• Be knowledgeable of all areas in the cafeteria.
• Be knowledgeable of plate presentations and preparations of all menu items.
• Communicate with all cooks daily for proper pars and production requirements when needed.
• Keep back and prep area clean as you work.
• Fill and maintain the prep list up to par, check daily.
• Checkwith MOD before leaving for the day.

Qualifications

• Must be able to endure exposure to heat, steam and hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to stand for length of shift.
• Must be able to walk, run, push, pull and lift up to 50 Ilbs.
• Must have previous experience working in similar Food and Beverage department (kitchen, cafeteria, etc.).
• Must have unexpired Food Handler - or obtain upon hire.
• Must be 18 years or older.
