Job summary

Central Catholic High School in Bloomington is seeking a dedicated Cafeteria Assistant for the 2026-2027 year. You will help prepare and serve meals to about 400 students, faculty and staff and support kitchen operations in a fast-paced school setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, attention to food safety, and a team-oriented mindset. Hours are 7:30am-1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with possible evening/weekend shifts for events.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A food safety license is preferred or may be completed within one year of hire.
• The Cafeteria Assistant works in a fast-paced school environment and must manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the facility and maintaining cleanliness of surfaces.
• Serving meals to students, faculty and staff as directed by the cafeteria manager.
• Preparing food items using available ingredients.
• Maintaining stock, preparing items for storage, and assisting with ordering supplies.
