Job summary

The Black Horse Pike Regional School District has multiple openings for 3 hour Cafeteria General Worker positions at Highland High School in Gloucester Township, NJ.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, serving meals during lunch, assisting with meal preparation and packaging, and operating food service equipment. You will complete required trainings and work under the Cafeteria Manager. Starts at $15.92 per hour with district residency preference.

Qualifications

• Must attend/complete annual trainings required by the District.
• Complete required training hours of Professional Standards for state and local nutrition programs annually.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of sanitation in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Serve food items during lunch service.
• Assist with the preparation of student and faculty meals.
• Assist in packaging and setting up kiosks.
• Operate food service equipment independently.
• Count money and complete deposit slips.
• Perform duties as directed by the Cafeteria Manager.
• Remove used trays and wash pans and clean areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Job Goal

To provide quality and nutritious meals and snacks to the students and faculty with professional and courteous service.

Performance Responsibilities

Must attend/complete annual trainings required by the District.

Complete required training hours of Professional Standards for state and local nutrition programs annually.

• Maintains a high degree of sanitation in kitchen and cafeteria at all times.
• Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with customers and co-workers.
• Responsible for maintaining an efficient, productive, safe, and sanitary work station.
• Able to list and understand the meal pattern regulations and serving requirements established by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.
• Responsible for storeroom familiarity and first-in first-out procedures.
• Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the student and faculty meals in a timely manner.
• Assists in preparing food items, packaging and setting up kiosks.
• Serve food items during lunch service.
• Remove used trays, pans, trash, and waste from counters, tables, and other areas, and clean these areas in a sanitary manner.
• Washes trays and pans and places them in a sanitary location.
• Count money record production records and complete deposit slips.
• Ability to operate food service equipment independently.
• Performs duties as required for any special functions as directed by the cafeteria manager.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Salary

Salary based on experience. Starts at $15.92
