Job summary

Eataly Santa Clara is seeking a QSR Specialist to support day-to-day operations across our quick service counters, ensuring hospitality, accuracy, and well‑presented displays. The role reports to the QSR General Manager and QSR Assistant General Managers.

You will lead by example, mentor team members, manage inventory and cash, and ensure compliance with FIFO and sanitation standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience in food service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of coffee and coffee production is a plus.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide service across all QSR counters, maintaining hospitality standards.
• Set up stations and replenish displays with attention to allergens.
• Ensure FIFO and dating of items; manage cash and transactions.
• Mentor and guide team members; participate in training.
• Monitor inventory and manage supplies across the department.
• Uphold quality, health, safety and sanitation standards.

Job Description

Eataly’s bustling marketplaces contain a variety of quick service counters featuring coffee and drinks, pastries and gelato, pizza and focaccia, paninis and grab-and-go meal options. The QSR Specialist assists with the day-to-day operations of the QSR counters. Reports to the QSR General Manager and the QSR Assistant General Managers.

• Provides service across all QSR counters, ensuring the team consistently meets high standards of hospitality
• Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
• Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards
• Manages transactions and ensures accurate accounting
• Prepares necessary collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves products
• Supports, motivates, guides, educates and mentors team members
• Monitors inventory, checks orders and distributes supplies as needed throughout the department
• Ensures department complies with all quality, health, safety and sanitation standards
• Documents, investigates, resolves and escalates guest incidents
• Assists with administrative duties as needed
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred
• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience in food service
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of coffee and coffee production
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash register

Compensation

Pay rate start at $18.70 - $19.50 an hour plus tips. We are looking for people can-do full-time hours (32 hours or more), or part-time hours (31 hours or less).
