Eataly North America in Santa Clara is hiring a Cafe Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Sales Associate to deliver exceptional guest service across gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and more.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling and prior food service experience, with shifts often including evenings and weekends. Pay starts at $18.70/hr plus tips and benefits include discounts and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide service across all QSR counters.
• Prepare and portion gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and other items.
• Set up stations and replenish displays; separate allergens.
• Ensure items are dated and FIFO followed.
• Prepare collateral, weigh, label, package and serve products.
• Operate cash register and ensure accurate cash drops.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

A Cafe Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Sales Associate provides exceptional guest service across Eataly’s various QSR counters – serving gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and other Italian treats. Reports to the QSR General Manager and the QSR Assistant General Managers.

• Provides service across all QSR counters
• Completes food preparation assignments neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Sets upstations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
• Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards
• Prepares necessary collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves products
• Complies with department policies and quality, health, safety and sanitation standards
• Operates a cash register and ensures accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• Prior food service experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash register

Pay Rate starts at $18.70 an hour plus tips.
