Job summary

Miss J Diner in Wapakoneta, OH is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily cafe operations and lead the service team during shifts. You will ensure quality, handle cash and POS tasks, and maintain health standards during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in cafe/restaurant or hospitality, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food safety and/or barista certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support cafe staff during assigned shifts.
• Open or close the cafe following SOPs.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and daily reconciliations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization per health standards.
• Train and mentor new team members as needed.
• Communicate with management about staff performance and inventory needs.
• Ensure timely preparation and quality control of food and beverages.
