Job summary

Rustic Bakery in Larkspur is seeking a Shift Lead/Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service in a high-volume cafe environment. You will greet guests, take orders, ring up sales, and help manage daily operations including opening/closing, training staff, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food, beverage, retail or customer service.
• Must obtain Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume cafe environment.
• Strong guest interaction and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers, take orders and ring up sales.
• Open/close the cafe and manage equipment.
• Assign tasks and breaks for staff; ensure procedures followed.
• Train new team members during shifts and supervise cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock levels; support inventory checks.
• Promote menu options and answer questions about allergens.
