Job summary

The Hilton Milwaukee City Center in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Cafe Server to join our hospitality team. You will greet guests, take and enter orders, and deliver food and beverages with warm, professional service to ensure a memorable guest experience.

As a union, hourly position, with shifts mornings, weekends and holidays, you will also handle payments, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, friendly dining area while following all safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
• Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Learn table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

As a part-time Cafe Server, it will be your responsibility to tailor the Cafe experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?
