Job summary

Eurest seeks a Cafe & Retail Manager in Washington, DC. Lead the in-unit cafe and retail operations, supervise staff, manage budgets, and implement culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams to drive guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have cafe management experience, strong financial acumen, and knowledge of coffee operations. Flexibility with hours, including weekends, is required; ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or AA degree required or preferred with related experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food service operations.
• Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Strong leadership, management and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Financial, budgeting, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and email/internet tools.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily administrative and operational tasks.
• Handles all aspects of staff management.
• Manages all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Maintains knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape.
• Manages cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Oversees sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s).
• Purchases and manages inventory.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with Company marketing and culinary teams.
• Acts as liaison with the client.
