Job summary

Corner Bakery Cafe in Plano, TX is seeking a Field Manager to lead restaurant operations, supervise staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and manage inventory and cash flow. You will open and close shifts, coordinate catering and delivery during peak hours, and drive compliance with company policies.

This leadership role requires strong communication, organization, and a focus on food safety and guest experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; prior supervision in a cafe setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Foodhandler card and ServSafe certification.
• Minimum of 1 year as a Shift Supervisor in a Corner Bakery Cafe or similar concept experience showing ability to lead and execute restaurant operations.
• Possess strong guest service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of CBC CORE systems.
• Completion of CBC Management Training program.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and POS – Point of Sale systems.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Formal leadership training experience such as Situational Self Leadership, Situational Leadership II a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and be able to consistently pass an MVR.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees and guest relations.
• Oversee inventory including ordering and receipt.
• Deliver food during peak hours of operation.
• Open shift start-up of equipment and processes.
• Close store operations and shift closing procedures.
• Manage cash flow and deposits.
• Administer new hire orientation and company reports.
• Oversee cost control (P&L).
• Conduct employee meetings and coaching sessions.
• Solve problems as they arise and maintain safety.
• Lead safety committee and food safety practices.
• Oversee catering operations and Safe Driver program.
• Support hiring and orientation of new employees.
