Job summary

Wings & Waves in McMinnville operates the Milky Way Café. The Café Manager will lead day-to-day operations, supervise staff, ensure exceptional guest service, and manage inventory, scheduling, reporting, and events.

This hands-on role is about 70% operational support and 30% administrative tasks. The position requires 2–4 years in hospitality, ServSafe certification, and strong knowledge of food safety, scheduling, and POS systems.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of restaurant, café, hospitality, or catering experience including coordinating daily operations and leading shifts.
• Experience training staff and supporting employee development.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, cash handling, and alcohol service requirements.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory tracking, and POS systems.
• Proficiency with POS systems and standard business software applications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve operational challenges independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring opening, staffing, stocking, and service readiness.
• Assign daily responsibilities and ensure standards for service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Lead by example; assist in any café position to maintain efficiency and satisfaction.
• Monitor food/beverage production levels based on attendance and needs.
• Support smooth and profitable execution of operations and events.
• Coordinate event setup, operations, cleanup, reconciliation, and reporting.
