Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a Cafe Manager in Boston to lead in-store operations, train staff, and uphold high standards of product quality and customer service. You’ll manage scheduling, timekeeping, inventory, and vendor relations while driving store performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store unit operations in high growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso and equipment.
• Ability to hire, train and develop staff and manage schedules in compliance with labor laws.
• Proven ability to drive service quality, inventory control and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Create a motivating and engaging team culture through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Cover scheduling gaps and publish staff schedules according to labor laws.
• Review timecards and PTO to ensure accurate, on-time pay.
• Recruit talent in collaboration with People Team and ensure training quality.
• Oversee vendor relations, inventory counts and the Inventory Mgmt System.
