Job summary

Maplefields in St. Albans, VT is seeking a full-time coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations for Myfresh Cafe or Amato's, ensuring optimal customer experience and smooth kitchen operations.

The role directs food preparation for grab-and-go items, maintains safety standards, and leads kitchen staff during busy times. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience with food prep knowledge
• Hold a valid food safety certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to supervise, train and lead kitchen staff
• Capable of handling multiple projects with little supervision
• Comfortable working independently within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders per food prep procedures and ensure hot plate and cold well hold a fresh variety of grab-and-go items
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment and surfaces
• Receive, rotate and store all incoming orders
• Communicate positively with kitchen staff and store staff; ask for help when needed
• Work with Store Manager to hire, manage and train kitchen staff
• Maintain inventory levels and place orders to prevent shortages
• Communicate with staff clearly and address issues appropriately
• Maintain organized inventory to reduce waste and ensure proper rotation
• Ensure all product is dated properly and temperature checks are documented
• Complete shift tasks as assigned by Store Manager and handle any unexpected tasks
• Lead the kitchen during busy times and direct staff when needed
• Create a positive work environment with respect and teamwork
• Record waste and proactively reduce unnecessary waste
