Job summary

French Truck Coffee is seeking a Cook to join our café kitchen. You will prepare food to our recipes, maintain station cleanliness, and ensure timely service for customers. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork across the line, prep, and dish areas.

Responsibilities include following FIFO rules, labeling and storing items, and communicating with baristas and leadership. Both full-time and part-time shifts, with varied hours at Uptown and Maple Ave locations.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Strong commitment to safety and sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work with a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in a timely manner following recipes and plating specs; fulfill customer tickets within 8 minutes.
• Keep line and stations stocked and organized throughout shift.
• Complete prep items and prep sheets; label, date, and store food properly.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks per checklist.
• Communicate with baristas and leadership regarding tickets or product issues.
• Open and close checklists; maintain kitchen cleanliness across all areas.
